    MAC announces 2024-25 women's basketball conference schedule

    CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference has released its 2024-25 women’s basketball conference schedule, as announced by the league on Wednesday, August 14. The conference schedule includes 18 in-league matchups with nine games on the road and nine games to be played in the Convocation Center.

    “We are excited to be a part of another competitive season of MAC basketball. It’s a great conference,” head coach Bob Boldon said. “The team and staff are looking forward to this season and starting conference play in January.”

    The Bobcats will kick off the new year in the Convo with their conference opener versus Akron on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Ohio will immediately hit the road for a matchup with Northern Illinois on Saturday, Jan. 4. The team will remain on the road as they head to Western Michigan for a game on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

    Ohio returns to Athens for two home games versus Kent State on Saturday, Jan. 11 and Bowling Green on Wednesday, Jan. 15. The Bobcats will then hit the road for two games at Toledo on Saturday, Jan. 18 and Buffalo on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Ohio will close out January with two home games in the Convo. The team will host Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 25 and Ball State on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

    The Bobcats will open February with two conference road games. Ohio will play its first game of the “Battle of the Bricks” at Miami on Saturday, Feb. 1. The team will then head to Central Michigan for a game on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Conference play will be briefly interrupted by the second game of the MAC-SBC Challenge on Feb. 8 on the road.

    Ohio will resume conference play with two home match ups versus Buffalo on Saturday, Jan. 15 and Northern Illinois on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The end of February will consist of two road games at Akron on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Bowling Green on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

    The Bobcats are scheduled to play three conference games as the regular season comes to a close in March. On Saturday, March 1, Ohio and Miami will compete in the “Battle of the Bricks” finale. The Bobcats will play its last home game of the season versus Western Michigan on Wednesday, March 5. Ohio will conclude its regular season with a road matchup at Ball State on Saturday, March 8.

    The 2025 MAC Tournament will take place March 12-15 in Cleveland, Ohio inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

    The Bobcats nonconference schedule, game times and TV selections will be released in the coming weeks.

    Season tickets for Ohio women’s basketball are on sale now. For the first time, courtside and reserved seats are available for all home games.
