MAC announces 2024-25 men’s basketball conference schedule

CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference has released its 2024-25 men’s basketball conference schedule, the league announced today (Aug. 14). This year’s conference schedule includes 18 in-league matchups with nine on the road and nine set to be played in the Convocation Center.

The Bobcats open the MAC Slate on Saturday, Jan. 4 on the road at Central Michigan, before heading to Buffalo on Tuesday, Jan. 7 for their lone matchup with the Bulls.

Ohio returns to the Convo on Saturday, Jan. 11 when they host Northern Illinois, before welcoming Ball State to Athens on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The Bobcats then hit the road for back-to-back matchups starting on Saturday, Jan. 18 when they head to Akron to take on the Zips. Before taking on Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Ohio is back in Athens on Saturday, Jan. 25 when they host Kent State, before closing out the home stand on Tuesday, Jan. 28 against Toledo in the Convo. The Bobcats then head to Oxford on Saturday, Feb. 1 for the first ‘Battle of the Bricks’ matchup, before heading back to Athens on Tuesday, Feb. 4 when they host Western Michigan.

After a break from MAC play for the send part of the MAC/SBC Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 8 in Athens, Ohio hits the road for back-to-back games starting on Tuesday, Feb. 11 when the Bobcats take on Bowling Green on the road. Ohio then heads to Kent State for a matchup with the Flashes on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Ohio is back in the Convo for back-to-back games starting Tuesday, Feb. 18 against Central Michigan, before taking on Akron at home on Saturday, Feb. 22. After taking on WMU on the road on Tuesday, Feb. 25, Ohio is back in Athens on Saturday, March 1 when they host Miami.

Ohio closes out the home slate on Tuesday, March 4 against Eastern Michigan, before closing out the regular season on Friday, March 7 at Toledo.

The 2025 MAC Tournament will take place March 13-15 in Cleveland, Ohio inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Bobcats are putting the finishing touches on its 2024-25 nonconference schedule and will be released in the next several weeks, while gametimes and national TV selections will be released later this fall.
