GLOUSTER — Following three straight road tilts to begin the season, Trimble returned to Glouster with a bang, suffocating Wellston (3-1) in the second half en route to a 38-18 smackdown on Friday night. The Tomcats (3-1) have now won three straight contests following an opening night loss to Nelsonville-York back in August.

Rushing 50 times as a team for 256 yards, Trimble had a two-headed threat in the backfield with Owen Sikorski and Matthew Moyer each racking up over 100 yards on the ground. Sikorski finished with 138 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown while Moyer reached 100 yards on 18 carries.

Trevor Gowen scored two rushing touchdowns on four carries while Brady Jajczyk scored the other. The sophomore gunslinger also finished the night 6-8 passing for 60 yards and a score. Luke Orsborne caught a 20-yard touchdown.

Mason Hart led the defense with six tackles while Aiden Dixon tacked on five. Moyer, Coltin Ward, Corbing Lanning and Noah Smith each tallied three to help compliment the defensive effort. Ashton Kochis recorded an interception for the Tomcats.

The home game was a quick stop in Glouster for Trimble, who returns out on the road this week. The Tomcats will travel out to Worthington this week to challenge Worthington Christian.
