    Nelsonville-York regains form with sweep over Eastern

    REEDSVILLE - Bouncing back off a tough sweep a few days before, Nelsonville-York volleyball regained form on Monday night with a three-set sweep over Eastern. The Buckeyes (11-2, 5-1 Tri-Valley Conference-Ohio) went on the road and comfortably won each set over the Eagles (7-5, 4-0 TVC-Hocking) with identical 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 set victories.

    The senior leadership of Gianna Dixon and Kyleigh Warren showed up once again on the offensive side of the ball, recording 12 and 10 kills respectively to lead the team. Emmie Fowler added six kills herself while Chloee Vohlken and Cat Dixon each tallied four. Megan Booth finished with 33 assists out of the setter spot.

    The team served up 10 aces as a team with Dixon and Paisley Stalder leading the way with three each.

    Delaney Dean picked up responsibility on the defensive end with 20 digs in another impressive effort from the senior. Warren and Kenzie VanBibber each hit double-digits with 11 and 10 digs respectively while Stalder dug up six. Gianna Dixon also blocked four balls at the net.
