Muskegon approves higher bid to secure local contractor for $3M road project
MUSKEGON, MI - A local contractor was awarded the bid for a road reconstruction project but wasn’t the lowest bidder. The city of Muskegon has a policy that says staff must go with the lowest bid offered for a project, but can supersede that if choosing a local contractor who is within 2% of the lowest bid.
