Little Fish Brewery, 8675 Armitage Road, Athens, will host several events during Ohio Brew Week.

    Five-plus course dinner

A five-plus course beer dinner will be held July 15 with seatings at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. This year’s dinner will focus on foods cooked over a live fire, outdoors. The menu, which is subject to change in regards to the exact beer pairings, includes:

Amuse: Fermented watermelon-cucumber gazpacho, dill, creme fraiche. Pairing: Thunder Bunny — Belgian-style Witbier

Cheese and Terrine — goat in sheep’s clothing, mustard, crostini, pork terrine, pickled black raspberries, spiced sorghum black walnuts. Pairing: Dimple Stein — Czech Dark LagerTomato Season! — green tomato fritter, smoked tomato jam, fresh heirlooms, herbs. Pairing: That’s a Chunky — Hazy I.P.A.Salad — charred romaine, cured egg yolk, tahini-preserved lemon caesar, grilled sourdough rye. Pairing: Rustic Auburn Valley — 100% Ohio-Grown pilsner, Wandering Monsters CollabMain — grilled black garlic tenderloin steak, carolina rice grits, beet stem fermented kraut, gochujang buerre monte, ground cherry, pickled pioppino mushroom, green coriander salt; vegetarian option: lion’s mane mushroom steak. Pairing: Theta Waves — Barrel-aged sour blonde ale with Frontenac Blanc & Lacrosse grapesDessert — olive oil sumac-lime cake — for the table — berries, rosehips, lime zest, lemon balm, flowers. Pairing: 2024 Moonville Stout — Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout

    Clambake

An outdoors-cooked clambake, featuring the release of a new beer, will be held at 5 p.m. July 16. The clambake will feature clams, mussels, house-smoked sausage, corn, and potatoes, for $25 (all you can eat, until we run out). The brewery will also run our standard menu at the same time.

The beer Little Fish brewed with our friends from Wandering Monsters Brewing is a 100% Ohio-grown, dry hopped pilsner called “Rustic Auburn Valley”. This is a chance to try a beer brewed with some of the best ingredients grown and processed by small farmers in Ohio (Pilsner malt from Rustic Brew Farm, Comet hops from Auburn Acres, and Crystal hops from Ohio Valley Hops). The WM folks will be hanging out with us too, so make sure and say hi!

Little Fish is also tapping two other beers from Wandering Monsters — exact varieties to be announced, but they are going to be a lot of fun and feature some real off-the-wall ingredient combinations.
