“Athens is a place I hold near and dear to my heart and I couldn’t be more grateful to be able to come back and represent the Green and White,” McCrady said. “A sincere thanks to Coach Jenna Hall for entrusting me to lead the circle. I am looking forward to getting Ohio back to Firestone Stadium.”

In 2018, McCrady was a part of the 2018 MAC Regular Season and Tournament Champion Ohio Bobcats that advanced to the NCAA Knoxville Regional Final where McCrady was the starting pitcher in Ohio’s elimination game against James Madison. McCrady pitched 4.0 innings and did not allow a run on three hits in the win that advanced Ohio to the regional final.

In 2019, McCrady appeared in 41 games while making 37 starts in the circle for the Bobcats. McCrady earned a 23-13 record with 28 complete games, and one save, while striking out 207 batters and carrying a 3.20 ERA.

Madi will work with an Ohio pitching staff that includes two-time First Team All-MAC selection and MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year Skipp Miller, and an All-MAC Second Team and All-Freshman team selection in Mikie Lieving.
