Overnight roadwork set to begin in Bradford County

BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. ( WETM ) — A county-wide roadwork project will start in Athens and South Waverly on Monday night.

According to PennDOT, a contractor will be applying a microsurfacing treatment to Elmira Street (Route 1069) between Keystone Avenue (Route 1070) in South Waverly and Edwards Street in Athens overnight from July 8 through July 10.

Crews will be working between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night, and the road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers directing traffic.

Crews will be microsurfing the following roadways around Bradford County at later dates:

Route 6 between Sterling Hill Road in Wyalusing and Cross Road in Tuscarora
Route 6 between Route 187 and Red Rock Road in Wysox
Route 6 between Valley Road (Route 1025) and Rummerfield Creek Road (Route 1021) in Wysox
Route 3027 (Center Street/Minnequa Main Road) between North Street and Route 14 in Canton
