The business challenge will be taking place on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 8:30 A.M. The mission of this business challenge is to let high school juniors and seniors from West Virginia and Virginia show their business talent and skills while competing.

The Concord Business Challenge gives students a chance to display their business knowledge by competing in different areas of business such as, business communications, accounting, economics, finance, hospitality, computer applications, marketing, management, and business math. There will be a first, second, and third place winner in each competition.

“For 30 years, we’ve had the privilege of hosting the Concord Business Challenge. As we prepare for our 31st annual event this fall, we’re thrilled to welcome talented juniors and seniors from across West Virginia and Virginia to our campus. We’re proud to continue the tradition of supporting the next generation of business leaders who will shape our economic future and we look forward to seeing the innovative thinking and skills these young minds will bring to our campus in October,” said Dr. Allison Bean, Chair of the Department of Business.

At 12:00 P.M., there will be an awards ceremony recognizing students for their performance in each challenge along with overall school winners. 12 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 will also be awarded. The top two students will be awarded for a scholarship up to $4,000, which will span over eight semesters.
