ATHENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Concord University announced its CU Bound program on Monday, which will aid students in participating counties throughout the state in meeting the minimum requirements for college admission.

Participating students who maintain minimum grade requirements as presented by the program will be guaranteed admission to Concord University following their graduation from high school. Additionally, these students will be offered the resources necessary to fulfill requirements presented through the program.

Support will be offered by Concord University admissions and recruitment staff members for students and their families beginning as early as grade 9. Such support will reportedly include assistance in navigating areas of transition to college such as admissions and preparation for financial aid. This, the university says, will provide the foundation for a successful transition to and through the college journey after high school.

Also included as part of these resources will be regularly recurring updates, along with opportunities to become involved in the parent community at Concord University.

“Concord University is committed to providing pathways to success for high school students through our new CU Bound program. Eligible students will be GUARANTEED ADMISSION to Concord, provided tools for success in completing their degrees, and will involve parents in the process,” explains Concord University President, Kendra Boggess. “We are excited to provide new opportunities to successful lives and careers for all our students and welcome each one to the Mountain Lion family.”

It has further been stated that the program is designed to provide a seamless transition from high school to college for the sharp young minds of students throughout the region.

Those interested in participating may access additional information and resources at the Concord University website’s registration section . These individuals may also contact the Concord admissions office by phone at (888) 384-5249 or by email at admissions@concord.edu to learn more.
