Coach Welly Announces Official Launch with O2 Performance Gym

Members will have full access to many innovative features, including HRV tracking, AI goal-setting and readiness scores

Health technology platform Coach Welly has officially launched after years of development.

Founded in 2019 by CEO Owen Bowling, Coach Welly and its key features such as its AI-powered workouts, has been known as a top contender for fitness technology for several years. As of September 6, the platform will be available to members at the O2 Performance Gym on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.

Along with the AI-powered proactive chatbot that can assist with goal-setting and workout ideas, Coach Welly offers Heart Rate Variability (HRV) tracking and Readiness Scores, which can be accessed with a simple camera scan. The platform also provides gym members with gamified rewards for workout and health activity completion, motivational engagement, and personalized workouts.

Sam Cochrane, who has managed the O2 Performance Gym for six years, says he and his team are excited to bring this game-changing technology to their clients.

“We’re thrilled to be among the first gyms to offer our members access to Coach

Welly,” Cochrane said. “This partnership will give our members a more holistic approach to their fitness, helping them track progress beyond just what they do in the gym.”

The health platform plans to release additional features and partnerships in the upcoming months.

“With Coach Welly, our members can continue their journey both inside and outside the gym with the bonus of earning rewards for their gym workouts and everything they do in their life outside the gym,” Cochrane added. “It also gives us access to data we have never had before that will help inform our business strategy and enable us to deliver the best product and service to our members.”

In November of 2023, Coach Welly announced its partnership with fitness chain World Gym Australia, set to launch this month, and since then the platform’s list of upcoming clients has only continued to grow.

In March, the tech startup added a North American lead to its team , hoping to expand into the new international markets.

Bowling says the team is delighted to finally see its hard work and development reach clients.
