Macrostax Names Xplor Mariana Tek First Integration Partner

Mariana Tek’s first nutrition integration aims to elevate member engagement and streamline gym management

Xplor Mariana Tek, a boutique fitness management software, has partnered with the macro-tracking experts of Macrostax to offer a centralized solution for gym owners with the added benefit of nutrition management for members.

The deal marks Mariana Tek’s first nutrition integration, which is expected to boost member engagement as fitness consumers eye adjacent categories, such as healthy eating and habit building.

Fitness & Nutrition: A Unified Approach

“This is the year of integrations for the Macrostax Team,” Lindsey Love Jenks, Macrostax founder and CEO, tells Athletech News. “We made it a goal to explore partnerships with other businesses in the fitness space — particularly fitness software — that would be mutually beneficial for all parties involved.”

An offshoot of the Macrostax nutrition planning app, Macrostax Team is the company’s nutrition management software for gyms and health clubs to offer year-round nutrition to members.

“A lot of add-on services like nutrition exist on their own platforms, and that information gets siloed, and we really want to be the first to bring those together,” Jenks says. “It all comes down to helping gym owners — helping them with day-to-day tasks but also thinking about their future and growing their business.”

Jenks added that the relationship between fitness and nutrition is one of the main reasons Macrostax Team was formed. Earlier this summer, strength-driven interval training franchise MADabolic tapped Macrostax for a strategic brand partnership that gives MADabolic members access to nutrition plans that complement their fitness routines.

“The two [fitness and nutrition] go hand-in-hand, and I think this is one of the best ways to accomplish that mission,” Jenks explains. “We all know gyms need a CRM platform to manage customer data. What if we could incorporate nutrition into that same platform? Then nutrition becomes such an obvious and integral part of their business. It’s a no-brainer.”

Benefits for Gym Owners & Members

Although Macrostax had reached out to a few integration partners, Xplor was at the top of the list for its role as a leader in the fitness software industry.

“A few of our current Macrostax Team clients were already using Mariana Tek at their gyms, so getting this off the ground as our first official software integration seemed like a natural fit,” Jenks says. “We were able to build the integration into our dashboard in less than 2 weeks.”

Now, gym owners can manage their clients in one convenient place.

Building Stronger Fitness Businesses Together

“When Mariana Tek customers join Macrostax, they can automatically import their users to Macrostax and choose who to give access to,” explains Mariana Tek by Xplor’s integrations partnership manager, Haley Ladd. “As new members join the studio, they are automatically imported to Macrostax, and the admin can turn on their access from there.”

Studios also have the option to give access for free as a “value-add” for being a member of the studio, charge for access or grant it selectively (for example, giving access just to members, not class package holders).

Ladd was fundamental in the new partnership, having read about Macrostax and contacting Jenks to discuss a possible integration.

“Nutrition is a crucial partner to fitness, and we didn’t have any official partners at the time,” Ladd says. “I think it’s a really valuable offering for studios both from a value and engagement perspective, so we wanted to give Mariana Tek customers a reliable, top-tier option.”

Ladd added that Mariana Tek was particularly excited to work with Macrostax for its science-backed and sustainable approach.

“It’s a platform designed for fitness offerings and isn’t just a quick-fix solution,” Ladd says of Macrostax. “We believe in the results that they bring to their customers.”

Future Integrations

Looking ahead, Mariana Tek plans to deepen its integration so that the Macrostax platform is embedded into the Mariana Tek white-labeled studio app so customers can access the content directly within their studio’s app.

“It’s designed to make the management side of both nutrition and gym operations a lot more efficient, but it’s just the first step,” Jenks assures. “Our goal is to continue building on this integration, so Macrostax Team feels like a true extension of their brand.”
