    A University of College London study found UK toddlers get 47% of calories from ultra-processed foods (UPFs), increasing to 59% by age seven. Common UPFs include flavored yogurts and cereals. High UPF consumption in toddlers predicts similar habits at age seven. Researchers suggest policy changes to reduce UPF intake, noting challenges in the current food environment.

    Herbalife set a new Guinness World Record for the largest high-intensity interval training class across multiple venues, with 4,916 participants. The global event, broadcast from Las Vegas, united distributors and fitness enthusiasts worldwide. It served as a fundraiser for the Herbalife Family Foundation’s Casa Herbalife Program, showcasing the company’s commitment to community, health, and wellness

    Fitness industry veteran Doris Thews  has joined CoverMe as vice president of business development USA. CoverMe, a UK-based app for fitness professionals, offers team management and cover solutions. Thews will help introduce the app to the U.S. market, leveraging her extensive experience to bridge the gap between UK success and U.S. implementation.

    A University of Turku study found that reducing daily sitting by an average of 40 minutes over six months prevented back pain from worsening in overweight or obese adults. While changes in back muscle composition or metabolism weren’t observed, the research strengthens the link between activity and back pain. Researchers recommend alternating postures and increasing physical activity.
