NBA All-Star Got Drug Tested Over Video Of Him Looking Too 'Swole'

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey looked to be in terrific shape in a recent video of him circulating online. The NBA thought maybe the 23-year-old was in too good shape.

Maxey was the breakout star of the 2023-24 season, which saw him win the Most Improved Player Award. With Paul George now completing a more balanced Big 3 on the 76ers , the expectations on Maxey's shoulders are even higher going into next season.

Perhaps that's why he's been putting in the work to literally broaden his shoulders. A recent video of Maxey has circulated online of him working out with renowned trainer Chris Johnson. In the video, the Kentucky alum looked more like a linebacker than an NBA point guard.

The video drew a lot of attention from fans online, which apparently included people from the league office. Maxey admitted on a post on X that the NBA ended up drug testing him after his video circulated.

"I really got drug tested because of y’all," Maxey wrote along with a couple of laughing emojis.

Maxey has developed a reputation as one of the most affable players in the NBA. Even if people weren't going to mess with him before, they definitely won't know for very different reasons.

Before I even read the story, I knew they were talking about someone black because of the way the headline was written. Weight lifting in all its forms will do that if you are consistent, BUT, they AUTOMATICALLY think something foul…
