Georgia quarterback Carson Beck might take issue with his new spot in 247Sports' college football QB rankings ahead of the 2024 season.

According to our friends at FanDuel, Beck is currently the betting favorite to go No. 1 in the NFL draft, and is also the top favorite alongside Oregon's Dillon Gabriel to win the Heisman Trophy. Yet, in Brad Crawford's QB rankings for 247Sports , Beck fell in at third, behind Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss) at No. 2 and Shedeur Sanders (Colorado) first.

Sure, third is still pretty dang high among 100+ starting quarterbacks in college football, and those other two names are no slouches. However, Beck did win the head-to-head last year and even Crawford admits:

"Beck should be QB1 for 2025," he wrote.

While Dart and Sanders get the nod for him in 2024 over Beck, Crawford couldn't help but remark on how well the Georgia QB stepped up to the plate for a top team in all the biggest stages.

"Beck nearly eclipsed 4,000 yards through the air during his first campaign as Georgia's starter and saved many of his best games when it mattered most for the Bulldogs, highlighted by sparkling outings against then nationally-ranked Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee," said Crawford.

Plus, that was all in his first season as a starter. With an offseason as QB1 under his belt, Carson Beck should only grow in 2024.
