Just three weeks after the end of the 2024 MLB Draft, six of the Minnesota Twins’ newest prospects made their professional debuts.

On Tuesday night, infielders Kyle DeBarge, Billy Amick and Jay Thomason, catcher Khadim Diaw and outfielders Jaime Ferrer and Caden Kendle all made their debuts at Single-A Fort Myers.

Additionally, catcher Derek Bender, Minnesota’s sixth-round pick, was also available off the bench but hasn’t yet debuted.

Here’s a look at how those other six fared in their debuts.

DeBarge — The 33rd overall pick went 2-for-5 with a triple and 2 RBI.

    Amick — Minnesota’s second-round pick, 60th overall, went 2-for-5 with a double.

Thomason — The 17th-rounder went 2-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts.

Diaw — The Twins’ third-round pick, selected 96th overall, went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base.

Ferrer — The fourth-rounder went 0-for-3 with a strikeout but walked and drove in one run.

Kendle — The fifth-round pick went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

With just 30 games left in the minor-league season, they’ll all get their first taste of pro ball with the Mighty Mussels.

Most of Minnesota’s other 2024 draft picks, including first-rounder Kaelen Culpepper, are with the team’s rookie-level team in the Florida Complex League.
