Gordon Hayward is enjoying his retirement early on, reflecting on a 14-year career in the NBA that has him reliving stories that saw him pitted against the league's best players. One of them is causing quite the storm at the moment.

Hayward recently appeared on the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, discussing his retirement from the NBA, why he didn't join the Miami Heat in free agency, and the stories he got to experience throughout his career.

One of those stories took place early on in his career when he played against the Los Angeles Lakers as a member of the Utah Jazz. One game in particular saw Ron Artest roasting Hayward for his appearance, comparing his look to that of a particular celebrity.

"When we played the Lakers one of the years and they had Ron Artest... he looks at me and then looks back at Kobe and he's like 'Hey Kob, just throw me the ball in the post man. Look who's guarding me. I've got Bieber guarding me,'" Hayward said.

An absolutely hilarious story for Hayward to share, especially considering that he wore the bowl cut that Bieber was famous for when he had the hairstyle in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

For Hayward, he had it during his college days at Butler and his early years in the NBA with the Jazz until he updated it to a more modern look.

Nonetheless, it was, without a doubt, an all-timer of a story Hayward got to reveal while he happily basks in the shade of retirement.
