    By Mike Fisher,

AUG 7 BRUNSON TOP 10 BALL-HANDLER Ratings for most of the players in the league have been released for NBA 2K25, so lists of the top 10 players in each attribute are available.

One of the most important aspects of a player's game in both real life and in 2K is ball-handling, and New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson comes in at No. 6 in the NBA with a 95 ball-handle.

Brunson shocked the sports world night in and night out with his handles and raw scoring ability this past season, and that is how the Knicks were able to finish with a top-five seed. He will be looking to repeat his success from 2023 and prove his 2K ball-handling stat correct.

AUG 5 RANDLE ON PHILLIPINES COURT New York Knicks star Julius Randle signed with Skechers towards the end of last year, and he is already getting his face painted on a basketball court.

As part of a promotional tour with the shoe company, likenesses of Randle and Los Angeles Clippers wing Terance Mann have been added to the famous Tenement Court in the Philippines.

Randle and Mann were the first two players to sign shoe deals with Skechers, then others players like Joel Embiid came and joined the party. This promotion could draw other athletes to sign with the brand, and Randle would be seen as one of the guys that laid the foundation.

AUG 4 HART RESPECTS LYLES Olympic track and field sprinter Noah Lyles went viral when he discredited the NBA Finals last year. But, Lyles just won a gold medal in Paris, and New York Knicks forward Josh Hart took to social media to give the Olympian his respect.

"Lol na he an Olympic gold medalist. He can talk for life," Hart said in a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Not many people get to say that they are an Olympic gold medalist, but whenever anyone talks trash to Lyles ever again, he can say that and end the conversation.

AUG 4 POWER OF FRIENDSHIP The New York Knicks are going all in on winning the NBA Finals this season, and Josh Hart appeared in a recent stream on XSET and talked about how the team will get it done.

"We're gonna have a very good season just with the power of friendship," Hart said.

The team made one of the biggest moves of the offseason when they acquired Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets. This gives the Knicks four former Villanova Wildcats, and they will be looking to use that chemistry to help propel them through this season.

AUG 4 HOW? Former New York Knicks assistant coach Royal Ivey is now in charge of South Sudan at the Olympic Games, and after that squad sustained a 96-85 loss to Serbia, Ivey ripped the game's officiating.

What was the problem, in his eyes?

The refs sent Serbia to the line for 31 free throws.

South Sudan shot six of 'em.

"They shot 31 free throws; we shot six free throws?" Ivey said. "Let's tell the story. Let's tell the real story, because that's a travesty. How do they shoot 31 free throws and we shoot six free throws? How?"

AUG 3 HOLIDAY OUT FOR TEAM USA Jrue Holiday has been solid for Team USA in their first two games, but they will be without him in today's game against Puerto Rico.

The team announced today that the two-time All-Star was ruled out of today's match with an ankle injury that he sustained in the team's last win against South Sudan.

Holiday provided a solid defensive presence off the bench in that game, and he started in the team's first game against Serbia, where he scored 15 points. The team's other guards will be looking to step up and fill the hole while he is out.

AUG 2 TEAM USA HAS "OPTIONS" Team USA is still undefeated in group play, but some have questioned why head coach Steve Kerr has fully benched some of the best players in the league.

"Every game is going to be a little different. I don't read social media. I would hope our guys aren't paying too much attention to that," Kerr said. "Every opponent is different. We have options for everything. The beauty of the Olympics is that none of that crap matters. I know everyone's going to write about it, but none of that crap matters."

Two of the players that Kerr has benched in the team's first two games are New York Knicks' rivals Jayson Tatum and Joel Embiid. It looks like he will continue to play the lineups that are needed on a game-to-game basis.

AUGUST 2 AI AND MELO Before Carmelo Anthony forced his way to the New York Knicks, he played for the Denver Nuggets. During his eight seasons with the Nuggets, Anthony played with two All-Star talents, one of which was Allen Iverson. Anthony and Iverson's duo made for a fun image.

Given Iverson's trail-blazing acts, mainly with fashion, Anthony is a byproduct of the former Philadelphia 76ers superstar. Without Iverson taking the basketball culture by storm, who's to say Anthony becomes an NBA superstar?

Pop! currently has a set representing Anthony and Iverson in a duel set. Pop! is known for its vinyl collectibles depicting figures from pop culture and sports. Fans of basketball or the Nuggets could take advantage of the sale.
