Coach Nick Sirianni and the Philadelphia Eagles are coming off of a thrilling but ultimately disappointing 2023-2024 season that ended with a shocking 32-9 loss to Baker Mayfield, Todd Bowles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the NFL Playoffs.

On Wednesday, Sirianni addressed rumors of a rift with starting quarterback Jalen Hurts as he spoke to assembled media at a press conference.

"We go through all the same processes that we go through after each year, and you know, Jalen and I are in a really good place," Sirianni said in a video posted by Eagles reporter Elio Shorr-Parks.

"Um, every relationship that you have needs work with everybody and we've always continued to try to work at that."

Hurts hinted that he and his head coach were "not on the same page" during the 2023 season.

Reports by journalists Tim McManus and Jeremy Fowler citing unnamed surfaces close to the Eagles duo surfaced on Wednesday that Hurts and the Eagles coach had a "prolonged" and "unhealthy" tension.

These reports echoed another in January that Hurts was "disappointed" in Sirianni and the rest of the coaching staff's play-calling abilities.
