Fall camp continues to move along for college football programs across the country and the 2024 season kicks off soon.

The Auburn Tigers are entering an important season as improvement on the field is expected.

One of Auburn's position groups that has big expectations this season is tight end. The team's tight ends coach Ben Aigamaua talked about what he has seen from the group in fall camp so far this season.

"Really just being able to see a lot of the same, familiar faces," Aigamaua said on what he has enjoyed about fall camp so far. "The thing we're focusing on now is continuing to hone in on our techniques, the way we run our routes, our depth and all that. It's been good, it's been fun."

Aigamaua talked about the addition of offensive coordinator Derrick Nix and what he has liked about working with him.

"It hasn't been different, it's been fun," Aigamaua said. "I think one thing you'll hear a lot of is just the continuity. Obviously being with Jake (Thornton) for our second year together but everybody else in that room, we've always worked together somehow."

Aigamaua talked about the bond between Nix and head coach Hugh Freeze and how the offense benefits from it.

"When he (Nix) presents certain concepts, we already know where his mind is going," Aiguama said. "We all kind of know how this offense works, what works and what doesn’t work."

Auburn opens the season at home against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Aug. 31 at 6:30 p.m. CT. ESPN+/SEC Network+ will carry the broadcast.
