Sometimes when people witness things they couldn't even fathom, they can't help but stare in awe.

Noah Lyles certainly felt this way after watching Swedish athlete Mondo Duplantis' performance in the pole vault event at the Paris Olympics.

Cheering on Duplantis from the sidelines while preparing for the 200-meter dash, Lyles watched as he saw him fly over the bar, setting a new world record height of 6.25 meters. Duplantis already secured gold in the event after setting a previous record height of six meters on Aug. 5.

Lyles' reaction upon seeing what happened in front of him was priceless. He was immediately wowed by Duplantis' pole vault, only able to process that he set another record once again.

In the end, Lyles couldn't help but laugh in amazement, knowing that he saw history be made and have a memory he'll remember for a long time.
