Dwyane Wade Assigns Iconic Nickname To Team USA's Olympic Win Over Serbia

In the semifinal game against Serbia at the Bercy Arena on Thursday, Team USA found themselves in an unfamiliar situation.

The Stars and Stripes were trailing by as many as 17 points against the Nikola Jokic-led Serbian team who seemingly couldn't miss from three. While it was a team effort to erase the Serbian lead, there is one player in particular who was the catalyst for the win.

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, who is actually making his first Olympic appearance in Paris was lights out from deep. Curry finished with a game-high 36 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field, while also making 9-of-14 threes from deep, which is a mark that had him one shy of the Olympic record.

While on the broadcast, NBA legend Dwyane Wade made it clear that this would go down as a legacy game for Curry if Team USA was able to pull off the win. He ended up being absolutely correct and made sure to take to the app formerly known as Twitter to reveal how this game would be remembered.

"The Chef Curry game! 👨🏼‍🍳🔥🇺🇸," Wade wrote on social media in a post that featured Curry's mind-boggling stat line.

With the win, Team USA will have a chance to win what would be their fifth gold medal in a row. Standing in their way? A French team led by young NBA superstar Victor Wembanyama, who had 11 points in France's win over Germany in the other semifinal.

This game will be a rematch of the gold medal game at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics that saw Team USA win 87-82.
