Atlanta Falcons Lose Key Weapon Ahead Of 2024 Season

The Atlanta Falcons will be without an important target for quarterback Kirk Cousins in the 2024 season.

Wide receiver Rondale Moore, who was acquired in the Desmond Ridder trade in March with the Arizona Cardinals, suffered a knee injury on Wednesday and will miss the entire campaign, the team announced on Thursday.

The injury happened during 11-on-drills in a joint practice with the Miami Dolphins. Moore exited the field in an aircast. Terrible news for a Falcons team that was hoping the 24-year-old would emerge as one of their better offensive players.

Last season with the Cardinals, Moore reeled in 40 catches for 352 yards and a touchdown. Overall, he had 135 receptions for 1,201 yards in three seasons with Arizona. They selected him in the second round out of Purdue in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Drake London will be WR1 for the Falcons, while Bijan Robinson is expected to take another step as the starting running back after a solid rookie season.
