The 2024 NFL season is one month away, and there are some big questions to be answered still. One of the biggest is regarding Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

As of now, Lamb has yet to sign a new contract and has been holding out of training camp. It's a big concern for the Cowboys, especially given how crucial Lamb is to the offense.

However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones gave an update on Thursday and didn't seem in a hurry to get a Lamb deal done, per Jon Machota of The Athletic.

'Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on contract talks with CeeDee Lamb: “I don’t have any urgency to get it done.”'

Lamb didn't take long to see those comments and instantly posted to X with a simple message.

    "lol," Lamb wrote.

The saga with Lamb continues to be at a standstill. The Cowboys star is due $18 million in 2024, although it is the final year of his deal.

Other top receivers such as Justin Jefferson, AJ Brown, and Amon-Ra St. Brown all earn at least $30 million per year, which is what Lamb could command in a new contract.

Lamb had 135 receptions with 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns, all of which were career highs in 2023.

Lamb also led the NFL in receptions, was second in yards, and second in touchdowns, so there is no doubt he is among one of the best at his position in the NFL.

But, Jerry Jones' comments surely aren't encouraging for Lamb or the Cowboys' offense, and the wide receiver made his feelings known.
