Has the next Josh Allen emerged in the AFC East? The Buffalo Bills haven't played a preseason game to this point yet, but the organization has already gotten good news in regard to their division rival.

The New England Patriots are in a conundrum.

After drafting Drake Maye with the third overall pick, the Patriots questionable also drafted Joe Milton in the later rounds of the same draft class. In an example of how crazy a quarterback room can get in that case, the Washington Commanders did the same thing in 2012 with Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins.

In three years, RGIII was out and Cousins was in.

Could the same thing happen to the Patriots? While Maye was not bad in the team's 17-3 preseason victory, he didn't perform nearly as well as Milton.

The Tennessee star completed four of six passes for 54 yards and a touchdown strike while also recorded 22 yards on the ground.

In fairness to Maye, the Patriots trotted out Milton in the second half and it was clear that he was going against players who are not NFL caliber defenders in Carolina.

Maye, meanwhile has gone up against the starters to mediocre results to this point.

That won't stop people demanding to see Milton at this point in the preseason more and get a shot with the starters. The reality of the whole story in New England is that their quarterback troubles appear to just be beginning.

And no one is happier about it than the Buffalo Bills.
