Surprising Peyton Manning Announcement Leaves NFL Fans Confused

Peyton Manning has participated in all sorts of side quests since his retirement as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. But his most recent move has NFL fans everywhere scratching their heads.

Manning will be a special guest at the upcoming festivities for the boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. The Pro Football Hall of Famer will attend the introductory press conference during Fanatics Fest NYC on August 18 at the Javits Center.

Manning will join host Ryan Clark on stage for the pre-fight face-off, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Fans are confused as to why Manning is involved with this boxing match.

"What does Peyton manning have to do with Paul-Tyson," one asked.

"How is this a real sentence," another wrote.

"I LOVE post-football Peyton Manning, but man, we have to be right at the 'overexposure' point, don't we?" another said.

Most Valuable Promotions, Paul's company, confirmed Manning as a special guest in an official statement.

"Following the announcement earlier this week from Most Valuable Promotions, Netflix, and Fanatics Events that Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will face off at an exclusive press conference on Sunday, August 18, at the inaugural Fanatics Fest NYC, it was revealed today that Super Bowl Hall of Famer Peyton Manning will serve as a special guest during one of the most highly anticipated events of the Fanatics Fest weekend," the statement reads. "Manning will be on-hand as both fighters come face to face for the first time since the historic bout was rescheduled."

The bout between Paul and Tyson will take place at AT&T Stadium on November 15.
