Paul Finebaum Reveals When Two ACC Powerhouses Might Abandon The Conference

The ACC's future may depend on the Clemson Tigers and Florida State Seminoles. Reports suggest they are considering moving elsewhere.

According to ESPN, this is because other leagues, such as the SEC and Big Ten, have expanded at an even faster rate, largely due to new TV deals that far surpass what the ACC receives. Both of these leagues will also be able to negotiate another new TV deal before the ACC's grant of rights and TV contract expires.

ESPN's Paul Finebaum was asked about Florida State and Clemson's potential move to the Big 12 and whether their departure would end the ACC. Finebaum said he feels we are a long way from that happening.

"I think we are a long way from that happening," Finebaum said.

Florida State and Clemson, along with their other teams, are committed to the ACC until 2036. This commitment is a major factor in potential realignment for these schools. The question now is: where would either school go if they decide to leave? Some people believe that the SEC would be a good choice since those schools are closest to that conference.

Finebaum recently refuted that idea, saying SEC fans have negative feelings toward Florida State and Clemson because of how they are trying to leave the ACC. He mentioned that if the SEC added any more schools, they would be state flagship schools like Oklahoma and Texas.

So, Finebaum thinks we are still far from knowing where Florida State and Clemson might end up. In the meantime, we'll have to wait and let everything play out.

Please take them both. They will be a good fit for the Alabama Conference as well as The Big 2 Conference.

No, the southeastern conference wants some more more whipping boys so they can run up the winnings for the big schools in the southeastern conference
