On Friday, JuJu Smith-Schuster was released by the New England Patriots, and fans on social media couldn’t resist roasting the wide receiver. The joke making the rounds centers on his well-known TikTok presence.

The 27-year-old receiver joined New England in March 2023 on a three-year, $33 million deal, with $25 million guaranteed.

Unfortunately, his stint with the Patriots didn’t go as planned. In 11 games, he managed just 29 catches for 260 yards and one touchdown.

The TikTok jabs are a hot topic and the number one joke among fans.

One fan said, "TikTok boy finally gone," highlighting the ongoing social media humor around Smith-Schuster’s departure.

Smith-Schuster began his NFL career on a high note after being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2017 draft.

His rookie season was impressive with 917 yards and seven touchdowns. He followed up with a stellar sophomore year, recording 111 catches for 1,426 yards and seven touchdowns.

However, in the following seasons, his production waned, with less than 600 yards in three of the next five years and failing to surpass 1,000 yards.

Smith-Schuster hasn't eclipsed 1,000 yards since his sophomore season with the Steelers.

Smith-Schuster’s career trajectory has been a subject of NFL humor and speculation.

With a decline in production and recent injuries, it remains uncertain if he will suit up for another NFL team. Whether he returns to the field or not, his TikTok fame and playful jabs from fans have added a unique chapter and maybe ending to his NFL story.
