When the parents of a basketball star are not happy with how their son is being treated on the biggest, the issue tends to spiral out of control.

Team USA is in the gold medal game after an intense 95-91 victory over Serbia in the semis. With LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Joel Embiid among other All-Stars, they benefit with the overwhelming talent they possess compared to other countries. However, it comes at the cost of some stars not getting the playing time they would expect to receive.

With a more condensed rotation against the Serbs, head coach Steve Kerr once again excluded Jayson Tatum from playing. The Boston Celtics standout and 2024 NBA champion remained on the bench for the entire game, prompting his father to express his reaction to Kerr's explanation regarding Tatum in a post on social media.

"Man please. Miss me with that BS!!" he said on X.

This comes less than 24 hours after Tatum's mom, Brandy Cole, expressed her frustration at the situation, believing it to be "unacceptable" and making "no sense."

Against Serbia, Kerr used 10 players but mainly relied on a nine-man rotation. Celtics guard Derrick White saw only seven minutes of play, while Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant was the sole bench player to log over 13 minutes.

Notably, Tatum and Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton did not receive any playing time for Team USA.

Tatum played in three out of Team USA's five Olympic games, totaling up to 60 minutes on the court. Among the team, only Haliburton, with 26 minutes, has seen less playing time than Tatum.

During those 60 minutes, Tatum managed to score 19 points on 18 field-goal attempts.
