Gabby Thomas Shares Awesome Reaction To Sha'Carri Richardson's 4x100 Relay Heroics

Team USA came from out of nowhere to win gold in the women's 4x100 relay on Friday, and it thanks in large part to a stunning anchor leg from Sha'Carri Richardson.

Despite the fact that she was trailing runners from Britain and Germany when she received the baton, Richardson managed to pass both of them in her leg and win the race for the Americans.

Richardson received the baton from Gabby Thomas, who is fresh off winning gold in the women's 200 meter event earlier in the Games. Even though they were trailing when Richardson got the baton, Thomas revealed after the race that she was fully confident that USA would end up winning.

"Passing the baton to Sha'Carri is a very special and unique thing. She's so fast and we know we're in good hands as soon as she gets her hands on the baton." - Gabby Thomas, ESPN

You couldn't have been blamed if you thought USA was out of it by the time Richardson got the baton, but she put together a blazing fast effort to win her country gold.

It wraps up a successful tournament for Thomas, as this was her second gold medal, and while it was a team effort, you can bet she and everyone else will be giving Richardson her due praise for her clutch performance.
