Noah Lyles didn't get the dream ending he wanted for his Paris Olympics run, especially after he was diagnosed with COVID-19, finished with bronze in the 200-meter race and pulled out of the 4x100-meter relay.

Despite that, however, he definitely earned the respect of the whole sports world after he won gold in the 100-meter race. Not to mention that he brought so much attention to the event, thanks to his confidence and personality.

After Lyles' Olympic run officially ended—withdrawing from his participation in the 4x100 relay following his COVID diagnosis—the Paris Games organizers sent him a rather incredible tribute on social media.

Along with an edited photo showing a Lyles statue, the Paris Olympics' social media account thanked the U.S. sprinter for his contributions to the sport.

"You made US dream and you made the purple track at the Stade de France shine. Thank you and see you very soon, champion!" the Paris Olympics account wrote on Instagram.

For his part, Lyles appreciated the gesture and responded, "Paris you have given me the best crowd ever. I’m so honored to have been able to put on a show for you."

Noah Lyles ended the Olympics with two medals, both in individual events. As mentioned, he secured the gold in the 100 and bronze in the 200. While it wasn't the kind of finish he imagined, it's still a successful run for him regardless of what his critics say.

As the Paris Olympics said as well, Lyles made the sprinting events a must-watch.
