Noah Lyles Goes Viral For Past Arrogant Remarks After Canada Wins Gold

    By Cole Sullivan,

Back in May, Noah Lyles had a very bold stance on whether there was rivalry brewing between Canada and the United States in the men's 4x100 relay. His opinion was blunt, to say the least.

"Rivalry between who? who? who? Lyles said.

This took place at the World Athletics Relay. Well, on Friday in the Paris Olympics, Lyles ate every word he said. Canada masked an epic display en route to a gold medal in the 4x100 relay, while the USA were disqualified with Lyles on the sidelines with COVID-19.

It seems like the rivalry is brewing and the gap between the USA and other countries in track and field is becoming narrower and narrower. Especially, Canada.

USA's Noah Lyles celebrates bronze medal in the men's 200-meter.

Lyles did, however, take home the gold medal in the men's 100-meter race that took place last week. He finished with bronze in the men's 200-meter this week. Nonetheless, the comments back in may have resurfaced a lot Friday after Canada came out victorious.
