The Brazilian women's beach volleyball team secured gold in the final match of the Paris Games, dropping Team Canada, who were crowned the silver medal winners with the loss.

During the match at Champ De Mars, Brazil was caught in a heated argument with Canada, leading both teams to approach the net.

There was a verbal argument in the third set that had the players livid.

While the referee was trying to settle the situation, the DJ at the event started playing the song "Imagine" by John Lennon.

The doubles event was played between Brazil’s Ana Patricia Silva Ramos and Eduarda ‘Duda’ Santos Lisboa versus Canada’s Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson.

The players and fans burst out, smiling and laughing at the DJ's choice of music since it was clear that the individual was attempting to settle things down.

Soon after the verbal fight, the Brazilian team settled into their match and secured the first gold medal for their country in women's beach volleyball since 1996.

Canada ended the night with the silver medal, losing in the best of three sets, 26-24, 12-21, and 15-10.
