Jabbar Muhammad says fall camp at Oregon is 'way different' from Washington

During his first fall camp in Eugene, former Washington cornerback Jabbar Muhammad says he’s already become a different player since he was suiting up for the Huskies.

During a post-practice media availability on Friday, Muhammad noted his comfort playing on either side of the defense before being asked how much his time at the University of Oregon has changed him.

“A lot,” Muhammad said. “One thing I wanted to get better at was my physicality and you have no choice but to do that here, so that kind of was a perfect match for me.”

In terms of what has made the environment in Eugene different from his previous stops, Muhammad credited not only the Ducks’ physicality, but their grueling day-to-day schedule as well.

“It’s way different,” Muhammad said. “You’re hitting and rat-a-tat-tatting every single day, so it’s much different.”

In just his second week of practice at Oregon, the senior corner is already feeling the side effects of being on a team coached by Dan Lanning.

“It’s a tough schedule. It’s legit all-day,” Muhammad said. “I know you see the TikToks and everything, but our fall camp’s really all day. It’s lenient in some other programs, but this one is kinda tough.”
