Jordan Chiles' Heartbreaking Admission Amid Olympic Controversy

United States Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles could have her bronze medal stripped by the Court of Attribution for Sport.
Chiles, clearly struggling with all the backlash she's received and the CAS' recent announcement , responded to the situation on social media, mentioning that she's going to take some time away from the noise and focus on her mental health.
"I am taking this time and removing myself from social media for my mental health, thank you," Chiles said.
A recent ruling revealed that the United States' successful appeal to get Jordan Chiles on the podium may be overturned because the challenge was filed outside the allowed time limit on the day of the women's floor final.

Chiles originally received a score of 13.666, but the United States's appeal bumped her to 13.766.
The U.S. gymnast narrowly defeated Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu, who was originally ruled as the bronze medal winner. After Chiles' score was changed, she jumped Barbosu for the podium spot, having earned a 13.700.
Jordan Chiles was given a 7.866 execution score and a 5.900 difficulty score, while Barbosu earned an 8.000 execution score and a 5.800 difficulty score.

While the United States' appeal was successful on the day of the event, the Romanian team has been vocal about a further investigation.
Upon review, they revealed that Chiles should have received a score of 13.666.
The CAS did not have a final ruling on whether Chiles will be stripped of the bronze medal, but according to USA TODAY , a spokesperson from the International Gymnastics Federation will submit a statement about the final decision in "due course."
Chiles also added an Instagram story featuring nothing but broken heart emojis:

Chiles will now await the committee's decision, but as she explained, she will not be using this time for any social media activities since mental health comes first.
