LeBron James Taunts French Player After Massive Block In Gold Medal Game

LeBron James and Team USA are playing in enemy territory in the Olympic final on Saturday. They're competing against France, where the winner will take home the gold medal in downtown Paris.

James had Bercy Arena on their feet when he glassed Guerschon Yabusele at the beginning of the first quarter. The NBA veteran started the game with a dunk and kept the highlight reel going with a mean block against France.

Yabusele pushed through the lane and found an angle on James' weak side.

Despite having to maneuver his body and turn toward the basket, James pinned the ball against the glass, leading to an offensive possession for the United States.

After the block, James stared down Yabusele, sending him some choice words.

"Yabusele, takes it himself... Oh, LeBron James upstairs," said the commentator.

Dwyane Wade, who's also been featured as a commentator throughout the Olympics, shared his initial reaction.

"I can't say what he said, but if you read his lips, you know what he said."

NBA fans were also quick to comment on the block after James was trending on social media for his insane play against France.

"LeBron James block. Kevin Durant three. Tony East scream. The trinity." said one fan.

"DUNK, ASSIST, REBOUND, AND BLOCK IN JUST A FEW MIN OF PLAYING WTH LEBRON JAMES," said another fan.

"LEBRON JAMES. What a block," commented another.

The United States men's basketball team has gone 5-0 throughout the tournament.

LeBron James has been the leader for Team USA for much of the Olympic Games, helping the team secure a spot in the final after posting a triple-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in the semifinal against Serbia.
