Steph Curry is out of this world. After struggling in the first four games of the Olympics, the Golden State Warriors star found his shot in the most important games. After scoring 36 points against Serbia in the semifinals, Curry drained eight triples for 24 points.

Curry did his best work, as always, in the clutch. With France knocking on the door, the Warriors star drained two clutch threes late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. After his improbable second triple, Curry had everyone, including LeBron James, doing his iconic "Night Night" celebration.

With Team USA struggling to put France away in the fourth quarter, they badly needed a spark to get going. Curry would give them that spark, even when the French defense was keyed in on him.  His final triple, a high-arching fadeaway from way beyond the line, was the dagger that killed any hope of a France comeback.

Curry, the star point guard of the Warriors, was selected to his first Olympics appearance this year. Playing alongside LeBron James for the first time, fans were keenly interested to see how the two would work together. As it turns out, it's a damn good partnership.

For his part, James finished with a double-double of 16 points and 10 assists, content to just create for his teammates.

With that gold medal, the US men's basketball team secured their fifth straight gold in the Olympics. This is also the second time that Team USA beat France for the gold, toppling them in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics finals.
