The drive began with Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon gaining two yards on a run off right guard. Quarterback Sean Clifford followed with an incomplete pass intended for wide receiver Grant DuBose. Facing a 3rd-and-8 from their 32-yard line, Clifford’s deep attempt to DuBose fell incomplete, but the Packers caught a break when Cleveland's strong safety Kahlef Hailassie was flagged for defensive holding, granting them a new set of downs.

Despite the reset, the Browns’ defense remained resolute. Clifford fumbled the snap on the next play, which was recovered by wide receiver Bo Melton and returned for 10 yards to the Green Bay 41-yard line. However, Green Bay's momentum was disrupted again by an encroachment penalty on Browns defensive tackle Sam Kamara.

On 2nd-and-1 from the Packers’ 46-yard line, Dillon was stuffed for a one-yard loss, setting up a crucial 3rd-and-2. After managing just one yard on the subsequent play, Green Bay decided to go for it on 4th-and-1. The Browns' defensive front stepped up, denying Dillon the yard needed and forcing a turnover on downs.

This critical defensive stand underscored the Browns' defensive prowess and set the tone for the rest of the game, signaling their intent to be a force in the upcoming season.
