Team USA basketball went into the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris as a heavy favorite to win it all, and they did not disappoint.

The star-studded Americans cruised to the gold medal on Saturday, beating France in the final by a score of 98-87. This roster was full of the best of the best in the NBA and while they weren't the most convincing in exhibition play, The States produced the goods in the tournament.

Following the victory, ESPN's top MLB insider, Jeff Passan, made some interesting comments on X about the need for baseball at the 2028 Games in Los Angeles. Passan wants Major League Baseball to do everything imaginable to have big league stars representing their countries in four years:

MLB stars have never participated in the Olympics, so it would be a first if it did happen. Bryce Harper and Shohei Ohtani have expressed their interest in playing on the biggest stage in the world when it comes to sports.
