In Kerryon Johnson's time as a player at Auburn, he was extremely productive, a key piece in a team that made a run to the SEC championship in 2017, in addition to being an emotional core. On and off the field he was and is an inspiration for the future of the program. On Saturday he finally got to complete his journey to getting a degree after having to sideline the process to pursue his professional career.

As an Auburn player, Kerryon stacks up as an elite player. He's 4th in program history in rushing touchdowns, trailing only Caddilac Williams, Bo Jackson, and Joe Cribbs. In addition, he was 12th in rushing yards in only 3 seasons, only trailing what is essentially a mount rushmore of the best running backs to come through Auburn. Among those career stats was his stellar 2017 season in which he tallied 285 carries for 1,381 yards rushing and 20 total touchdowns. He also posted career nights against Georgia and Alabama in that season, accounting for 358 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Since his last days playing as an Auburn Tiger, he was drafted to the Detroit Lions in the 2nd round, where he became the first player to reach 100 rushing yards in a game in over 4 years. Injuries stalled out his career in the NFL unfortunately, but he would go on to get a position as the Director of Player Development and Assistant Running Backs Coach for the University of North Alabama, where he works with another former Auburn starter, Deshaun Davis. Davis is now the Linebackers Coach and has carved out a substantial role along with Kerryon under Head coach Brent Dearmon.
