Stephen Curry And Sha’Carri Richardson Embrace After Gold Medal Victory

Stephen Curry embraced many after an epic showing en route to a gold medal victory over France. But one that stuck out was 4x100 relay gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson, who was courtside throughout the matchup. Both have now won their first gold medal as United States Olympians.

Curry put on one of the greatest displays of basketball we’ve ever seen in Olympic history. Hitting four threes in the final three minutes of action to lead the USA to gold. He went on to score 24 points, hitting seven total threes. This is coming off a 36-point performance where he hit nine threes in the semifinals against Serbia.

Richardson, on the other hand, was the catalyst of the women’s 4x100 relay team that competed earlier this week. She willed the squad back into it as the anchor and came out victorious. Richardson painted on her nails, “I’m not back; I’m better.” Capping off her first gold medal. Both athletes set the standard and have supplanted their legacy in Olympic history for years to come.
