After winning three series in a row, the Boston Red Sox dropped one at home this weekend.

The Houston Astros picked up a 5-4 win in game two to secure the series win.

The Red Sox struggled to get much going at the plate again which was a problem they had in the series opener.

What are the main things to take away from Houston's 5-4 win over Boston?

Boston had a slow start at the plate

It took some time for Boston to get the ball rolling in the batter's box, not putting a run across the plate until the first inning.

The Red Sox were held to four runs off six hits. Six members of Boston’s batting order managed a hit but no one had multiple.

Wilyer Abreu led the team in RBI with two, the others belonged to Danny Jansen and Masataka Yoshida.

The Red Sox's bullpen day went ok

Manager Alex Cora elected to go with a bullpen game in the second matchup of the weekend and it did not go poorly.

Josh Winckowski pitched the first three innings and Brad Keller tossed the next four, allowing one run and three runs respectively.

The Red Sox have had solid relief pitching all year. It says a lot about a bullpen when a team's manager allows them to cover a complete game.

The Red Sox are now 61-54 on the season.

    Game 3

The Red Sox will attempt to avoid the sweep by picking up a win tomorrow. First pitch is set for 1:35 p.m. ET.
