Steph Curry is the greatest shooter that has ever lived. If anybody doubted that fact then he proved it once again with an instantly iconic performance in the Olympic final against France.

With the game too close for comfort, Curry showcased his greatness to the world one more time. He dropped four three-pointers inside the final three minutes, each shot more ridiculous than the previous one.

Curry scored 60 points and went 17-for-26 from three-point range over the semifinal and championship games as Team USA clinched Gold. Iconic.

One man who was clearly impressed by Curry's display on the night against France was his Team USA teammate, Joel Embiid. He even did the 'night, night' celebration on the bench for good measure.

Embiid did not play a major factor in the final against France but he certainly would have been pleased to win Gold, especially in front of the French fans.

After the game, Embiid had nothing but great things to say about Curry. Although, he does seem to believe that one of his Philadelphia 76ers teammates has similar potential.

According to Mike Sielski of The Philadelphia Inquirer , Embiid said: "There’s not a lot of Stephs in this world.

"I think Tyrese Maxey has that potential, but there’s not a lot of them. He’s the only one. Being part of a team, being his teammate, especially after playing against him and seeing him make all those crazy shots the last couple of years, it’s fun to be on that side."

The hope is that Embiid soon finds himself competing for the top prize in the NBA as well. The 76ers have certainly put a team together that is capable of doing that.

They have brought in Paul George on a four-year, $212 million deal to form a Big Three with Embiid and Maxey. Perhaps the best trio in the league. Plenty of other smart additions have been made to the roster as well.

76ers fans can breathe a sigh of relief that Curry is not expected to be competing for a ring next season. The Golden State Warriors simply do not have the team to do that.
