Former NFL star-turned-sports media personality Pat McAfee didn't hold back his thoughts as he celebrated Team USA's gold medal win at the Paris Olympics men's basketball tournament.

LeBron James and Co. took down host country France in a thrilling finale, 98-87. While the Americans won by double digits, the game was actually closer than what the score suggests. With 2:58 remaining on the clock, Team USA was only ahead by three points, 82-79.

Stephen Curry stepped up big time for Team USA in the clutch, with his timely shotmaking allowing the squad to beat France. After the French side cut the lead to just three, Curry responded with a triple to make it a six-point game.

France kept its hopes alive after a Victor Wembanyama triple with 55 seconds remaining, making it 93-87 in favor of Team USA. In return, however, Curry made an insane long-distance shot that was heavily contested to seal the victory for Team USA.

Curry finished with a team-high 24 points, with all of his eight makes coming from deep. James, for his part, had another solid outing en route to the tournament MVP honor with 14 points, six rebounds and 10 dimes.

McAfee was ecstatic after watching Team USA secure the gold in such incredible fashion, so much so that he dropped a curse-laden Instagram post to celebrate the win.

"That Team USA game was some of the best s**t I’ve seen in a long time… all of the superstars showed up and there was a historic performance by one of the [goat’s] to seal another gold medal," McAfee wrote, referring to Curry's performance.

"That was f**king awesome. This team answered all of the questions going into the Olympics.. They all bought in. They cared.. and ultimately, lived up to the hype."

McAfee called the performance "absolutely beautiful" before concluding his post with a declaration, saying, "sports are the greatest thing on Earth."

Here's McAfee's Instagram post, featuring several Team USA photos from the gold medal game. Warning: The following post from Pat McAfee includes language that some readers might find offensive.

For what it's worth, no one can blame Pat McAfee for that reaction. Several Team USA fans probably felt the same way considering the level of competition that the players had to face in Paris.

It wasn't an easy journey for Team USA, and Steve Kerr's men entered the tournament with plenty of doubts after some rather inconsistent performances in the build-up to the event.

Critics also kept questioning Kerr, including how he was handling the minutes of a loaded roster. At the end of the day, however, the team won gold and that's what matters.

Team USA put on a show, and while it wasn't perfect, LeBron, Curry and the team got the job done. Sure enough, much like McAfee, the USA can proudly celebrate that victory.
