    Team USA Coach Faces Backlash For Controversial Sabrina Ionescu Decision in Gold Medal Game

    When you're dealing with a team full of the best players in the world, sparsing out minutes can certainly be difficult.

    However, once you get to the end of a tournament and are playing for the championship, it feels like you should have a pretty good handle on who you have your your roster.

    Team USA coach Cheryl Reeve is facing a lot of backlash on social media Sunday morning due to her controversial coaching decisions in the gold medal game against France. The game was tied at the half, and it was a tight back-and-forth game.

    Many fans felt that the U.S. was lucky to be tied at the break, though, and felt that one player in particular — Sabrina Ionescu — should be playing more.

    Going into the fourth quarter, Ionescu had zero points with three rebounds and two assists. She spent very minimal time on the floor, which led to some backlash on social media:

    Team USA is looking for their eighth consecutive gold medal in the Olympics with a win over France on Sunday.
