A total of two inches separated France from a silver medal finish, and a chance to send the game to overtime and vie for the gold medal against Team USA.

Trailing 67-64 with just seconds left on the clock, France's Gabby Williams pulled up for a game-tying buzzer-beater and found the bottom of the net. The only problem? Her foot was on the line.

The Americans won their eighth straight gold medal after the shot was ruled a two, 67-66. It was a wild back-and-forth game that looked to be in doubt several times in the second half for Team USA.
