Noah Lyles' Mother Blasts Olympics Security For Refusing To Help Him After 200-Meter Race

Noah Lyles had an impressive stint at the 2024 Summer Olympics, winning gold in the men's 100-meter event and bronze in the men's 200-meter event.

It was revealed after his bronze medal in the 200-meter race, though, that Lyles had managed to run despite having contracted COVID-19.

After the race, Lyles was visibly uncomfortable, as he fell to the ground holding his chest before eventually being taken off the track in a wheelchair. In an Instagram post from Saturday, Lyles' mother called out the security guards at the event for not getting the star Team USA sprinter any sort of help after the race.

This was certainly a scary scene for fans, because at the time, nobody other than Lyles' inner circle knew that he had COVID.

Thankfully, he ended up getting the medical attention he needed which prevented this situation from being worse than it already was.

Lyles' feat in the 200-meter race was certainly impressive, but as his mother notes, it was also quite scary, and everyone will be thankful that he managed to escape this event unscathed.
