U.S. Gymnastics Coach Highlights Unfair Jordan Chiles Treatment With Critical Post

In a shocking turn of events, U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles will now be asked to return her bronze medal from the floor final of the Paris Olympics after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decided that her appeal was invalid.
It was Chiles' coach, Cecile Landi who submitted the inquiry moments after their score was revealed by the judges. After some deliberation, the judges decided to give Chiles an extra tenth of a point for her performance, thereby allowing the 23-year-old to finish third in the competition.
As it turns out, however, Landi's appeal was invalid. According to the IOC's decision, the appeal came a few seconds late, which prompted the governing body to reverse the call and instead give the bronze medal to Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu.
As expected, Landi herself has not taken this massive decision well. Much like most American supporters, Landi is incensed by the fact that Chiles will now be asked to return her bronze medal.

On Sunday, Landi reposted a strongly-worded tweet from USA Today reporter Christine Brennan which is questioning the IOC's decision to strip Chiles of her bronze medal.
"Consider this: Jordan Chiles is being stripped of her bronze medal but Russia was given a bronze medal in the 2022 team figure skating event after using now-suspended and DQ’d Kamila Valieva. (Canada should be getting bronze due to math shenanigans.)" Brennan wrote.
In a follow-up tweet, the best-selling author cited another precedent wherein multiple medals were handed out.
"In a very similar situation to the Chiles case, at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, IOC gave out two gold medals — to Canada and Russia — rather than take the gold medal from Russian pairs skaters nearly a week later as they should have. That was the French judge scandal," Brennan tweeted.
While Landi did not provide any commentary, the mere fact that she reposted these tweets from Brennan makes it clear that she agrees with them.
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee has already confirmed that they intend to appeal the recent court ruling, and Landi will likely be a central figure in the same.
