Rival Head Coach Makes Bold Claim He Should Have Four Wins Over Nick Saban

During his 15+ year reign over college football, Nick Saban routinely owned the SEC, college football's top conference, leaving every other coach punching air after most of their games against the Crimson Tide.

However, there's one coach in particular who always played Saban's teams well, and even beat a few of them. But at the end of the day, he still thinks he should have a couple more victories against the legend. That man is Hugh Freeze, who threw some impressive jabs at Saban's Alabama teams over the years.

Freeze actually beat the Tide a couple of times when at Ole Miss, but he finished with just a 2-4 record against Saban, although he believes it ought to be 4-2.

"I mean, honestly, Nick is incredible, but I should have four wins against him," Freeze told Marty Smith in an interview with the SEC Network.

He then detailed why.

"We beat them twice and we had them 24-3 the third year, and I wasn't smart enough to slow it down," Freeze remembers. "And then last year, it easily could have gone our way. We easily could have beat him a few more times."

Ole Miss was able to nab Alabama a couple of times in the 2010s during Freeze's impressive run down in Oxford, and he still curses himself over the result of that 2016 team. Meanwhile, Saban's final Alabama team needed a miracle to squash the Tigers last November.

So, Freeze ends with a losing record vs. Nick Saban, but he certainly put up some of the best fights against the legendary figure.
