Diana Taurasi secured her sixth Olympic gold medal after Team USA knocked off France in the final on Sunday. Following Taurasi's historic feat in the international games, Nike posted a tribute to the Phoenix Mercury star.

Taurasi has cemented herself as arguably the greatest women's basketball player in the history of the game, and Nike seems to believe her gold medal victory has added to her "GOAT" resume.

"You can't stop the reign... There's no argument, Diana Taurasi's resume is goated. She's been one of the best players in the world for over two decades," Nike posted.

With her sixth gold medal, Taurasi became the most decorated U.S. basketball player in Olympic history for both the men's and women's teams.

Taurasi is currently the oldest player in the WNBA at 42 years old. Despite being on the tail end of her illustrious career, she's averaged 16.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

As Nike explained, her reign on women's basketball has been unprecedented. Taurasi was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in 2004 and has since become an all-time great in the WNBA.

    She's a three-time WNBA Champion, two-time WNBA Finals MVP, and eleven-time WNBA All-Star.

Diana Taurasi has made a lasting mark on women's basketball, considered to be a legend in the WNBA and Olympics.

After her gold medal victory, Taurasi will return back to WNBA action on Aug. 15 against the Chicago Sky at 8 p.m. ET.
